Meghan Markle proved yet again she is brilliant with crowds as she spent time chatting and joking with well-wishers in Sussex.
She joined hubby Prince Harry for a full day of engagements on their first visit since being named the county’s Duke and Duchess on their wedding day.
They spent time chatting with well-wishers in Chichester as they arrived for their first engagement, who had been waiting to catch a glimpse of the royal duo.
But not content with handshakes and high fives, Meghan shared a full on hug with one women in the crowds.
In fact, it was such a big embrace the women nearly lifted Meghan off her feet, and the duchess ended up standing right on the top of her toes.
Meghan also bent down several times to meet some of the youngest fans who had come along to meet her, including one child who seemed a lot more interested in tucking into a tasty apple than meeting a real-life princess.
Harry and Meghan also both stopped to stroke dogs they say along the way.
The couple have a busy day ahead of them exploring different areas of the county.
Their schedule includes:
- Arrival at Chichester town centre to meet members of the public before going on to view a handwritten manuscript of the American Declaration of Independence.
- They will then travel along the coast to officially open the University of Chichester’s Engineering and Digital Technology Park.
