The Circle's 'cancer doctor' Jennifer is first contestant to be booted off new show

In tonight's episode Jennifer got "blocked" from the game – a fact that the group were unaware of.

The Circle's premise is that eight contestant live their lives and communicate with each solely through social media.

So each person can effectively pretend to be who they want to be.

Jennifer, 40, reinvented herself as a cancer doctor.

However she failed to win over the others from and when they had to score each other on initial perceptions, she ranked the lowest.

Jennifer, who had entered the competition to show the evils of social media said of her elimination, “it stings”.

In a further twist the two most popular contestants were given "Influencer" status meaning they got a blue tick and it gave them the power to block any housemate they choose.

So far Dan, a 28-year-old former estate agent, and Alex, a content producer for Unilad who is posing as his girlfriend, have been given Influencer privileges.

In an attempt to make their decision a little easier, The Circle introduced an Icebreaker game, giving the contestants a chance to learn more about each other.

The two Influencers The pair decided to list the pros and cons of each player to come to a decision, finally settling to block Jennifer.

Jennifer also decided that morally she couldn't keep the pretence of being a oncologist  – putting her profile in jeopardy.

 

The contestants, that also include Freddie, 20, a gay man pretending to be straight and Mitchell, 22, who calls selloff the "King of Tinder".

There's also Sian, 20, a model, Genelle, 31, a mum, and Aiden, 19.

The contestants are in the separate flats for three weeks and will never come face to face.
