Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner take their family to church… after revealing their kids aren’t allowed to act until 18

Jennifer Garner and her second estranged husband Ben Affleck reunited to attend Sunday services with their family at the United Methodist Church in Brentwood two weeks after they filed for divorce.

The Daredevil co-stars – who separated in 2015 – requested joint legal and physical custody of their three children, but they’re still negotiating a financial settlement, according to TMZ.

The former couple of a decade’s announcement came a month after 44-year-old Ben revealed he’d completed his second stint in rehab for alcohol abuse.

Last week, Affleck revealed that his kids will have to become legal adults before he and Garner allow them to follow in their famous footsteps.

‘I love being an actor, I got into it as a child and I wouldn’t change that. But I also wouldn’t want to take my kids and push them out there before they were 18,’ the Live By Night director said at his AutFest Q&A last week – according to People.

‘If they are 18 and they want to make those choices and do that kind of thing, that’s fine. But being a child actor, I just know too much of the downside of what that can be like.

‘I had some great rewards, and I probably wouldn’t have made it as an adult had I not built up that body of work as a kid, so it’s a strange thing. My kids would be good in the school play. If they can handle that, they’re in good shape.’

Boston-born Ben continued: ‘You know you have to have a certain thickness of skin in this business because success and failure, as a performer, are really two sides of the same coin.’

To commemorate National Superhero Day on Saturday, Affleck – who boasts 7M social media followers – tweeted: ‘Not all superheroes wear capes. Today, we celebrate teachers, mothers, military families, veterans & first responders.’
