Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday and for week seven singer Fleur East will dance the Waltz to I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues by Elton John. She and her partner Vito Coppola hope to avoid the dance-off again this week. However, dance expert Gary Edwards suggested she could be in trouble again.
Fleur and Vito suffered a huge blow last week after they were forced to fight for their place in the competition once again.
As the singer celebrated her birthday on Halloween week, she was excited to be dancing to a Beyonce number.
The star loved every moment of her performance, but it was not enough to get her a free pass through to this week.
She performed in the dance-off along with James Bye and Amy Dowden, and it was the EastEnders actor who got sent home.
Dancing With the Stars expert Gary Edwards spoke to Express.co.uk about a “perfect storm” brewing.
Judging Fleur’s Salsa, he said: “We saw about five per cent Salsa, so therefore my score was five for dancing and eight for entertainment.
“It was powerful, strong, but not Salsa, hip action was awesome, but it was not Salsa. It was disappointing.
“All of these coulples have been quite close so no one has really broken away. If they have a bad week like [James and Amy] that was just the perfect storm for them to leave, and it’s the same with [Fleur and Vito].
“The dance was so amazing but it wasn’t Salsa and as a judge it was so frustrating.
“The dancing was great but to judge that becomes impossible.”
He noted how the professional dancers and choreographers have honed in on “what Fleur does well” but this time around it was not incorporated into her dance.
He added: “There was loads of entertainment but I’m struggling to justify giving it a five.
“You could easily give that a three for dance content. You would never have guessed that was Salsa in a million years.”
After being saved in the dance-off, Fleur took to Instagram to thank her fans for their continued support.
She said: “To salsa to Beyoncé on my birthday on Halloween week with my amazing partner @vitocoppola_real on @bbcstrictly was the most incredible feeling.

Another couple expert Gary raised concerns about was Paralympian Ellie Simmonds and her partner Nikita Kuzman.
They received a low score after their Scooby Doo performance as the judges noticed how Ellie was “walking” in between steps.
Gary said: “I thought it was going to be so much fun, I thought it was going to be awesome but she basically danced a few steps and then walked.
“That was my biggest disappointment of the night, I have been saying how well-focused she is and I think she lost it completely that week.
“It might have been Halloween week because sometimes they focus too much on Halloween and not enough on the dancing.”
One couple he did praise was Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima, as he said the dance content was “supreme”.
He said: “There was excellent blance, super body action, leg action and foot action. I gave it a nine on dance content.
“I wouldn’t have thought doing that dance she would have shone, but it was very good dancing.”
On who may face the dance-off this week, he concluded: “The perfect storm can basically happen to anyone as I don’t think anyone can sit back at this point.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday at 7pm.
