Premier League next manager sacked: Brendan Rodgers favourite, odds SLASHED on Leeds' Marcelo Bielsa after Man Utd loss

BOOKIES think Brendan Rodgers will be the next Premier League manager relieved of his duties.

That's according to Sky Bet, who've slashed their price on the Leicester boss being the NINTH managerial casualty of the 2021-22 campaign.

Rodgers was previously available at 9/4 last week, but has shortened significantly to odds-on 4/5 after their defeat to Wolves on Sunday.

October saw Xisco Munoz and Steve Bruce both sent packing before Nuno Espirito Santo, Daniel Farke, Dean Smith and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were axed in November.

Rafa Benitez and Claudio Ranieri were the most recent to leave their positions following dismal runs at Everton and Watford respectively.

But with just 90 days of the season remaining – will there be more ins and outs in the English top flight?

Hiring and firing traditionally slows towards the end of the campaign with new bosses having less time to make a significant impact.

And that's perhaps why No Manager To Leave is 4/1 with Sky Bet.

But if there is to be another sacking — Rodgers (4/5) is the frontrunner with Leicester struggling for wins and consistency.

The Foxes are 11th in the Premier League table on 27 points from 23 matches, nine points above the relegation zone and 15 behind sixth-placed Arsenal in the European places.

Leicester are winless in their last FIVE top-flight outings, and have only pieced together six victories in their last 21 matches in all competitions.

The Foxes enjoyed a 4-1 win over Randers in the Europa Conference League last week, but succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Wolves at Molineux on Sunday.

The result consigned Leicester to their worst top-flight run since their six-game streak without a win under Claude Puel early in 2019.

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa is second-favourite at 7/1 after their latest defeat to Manchester United.

The Yorkshire club mounted a superb revival to level things at Elland Road before losing 4-2 and sinking further into the relegation battle.

Leeds are five points off the bottom three with matches against Liverpool, Tottenham, Leicester and Aston Villa on the horizon.

Tottenham's Antonio Conte is next at 10/1 despite their incredible win over Manchester City, while Roy Hodgson and Sean Dyche are locked together at 12s.
