Katie Price, 42, buys a collection of designer shoes with boyfriend Carl Woods, 31, despite having a ‘long way to go’ in her broken feet recovery and her recent bankruptcy hearing

Katie Price enjoyed a luxury shopping trip with her boyfriend Carl Woods and son Junior, 15, at Selfridges, London, on Wednesday night after lockdown ended.

The mother-of-five, 42, was seen buying a collection of designer shoes despite still having a ‘long way to go’ in her broken feet recovery.

Katie, who recently attended a bankruptcy hearing over Zoom from her Maldives getaway, carried three shopping bags from Louis Vuitton, one from Prada and a collection of carriers from Selfridges at the end of her shopping spree.

The former glamour model was seen wearing two grey orthopaedic boots inside the luxury department store, which she took off at one stage to try on a Balenciaga black sock boot, which cost £565.

Katie appeared to be a fan of the luxury brand’s footwear as she was also seen clutching the same pair of trainers in beige, which cost £630.

The TV personality’s boyfriend Carl, 31, also appeared to be treating himself during the shopping trip as he too tried on some luxury shoes.

The couple looked loved-up as they packed on the PDA with Katie placing her hand on Carl’s shoulder and the former Love Island star affectionately stroking her hair.

Later during the night, Katie appeared determined to overcome her injury as she walked again and swapped her orthopaedic boots for fluffy designer sliders.

Cutting a chic figure, the reality star sported a patterned jumper dress, teamed with black leggings and a Moschino handbag.

With her tresses styled into glamorous waves, influencer Katie complemented her features with matte make-up.

The businesswoman switched between her mobility aid and a pair of flat sandals, while she accessorised her appearance with a side-bag.

Carl and Junior were every inch the gentlemen as they carried her bags to the 31-year-old Love Island star’s flashy neon green car, before the celebrity offspring headed off with a pal.

Last month, the TV star arrived at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where doctors gave her the green light to walk again.

However, it will be a long road to her recovery, with a representative telling MailOnline: ‘Katie is indeed on the mend, however she still has a long way to go in her recovery.

‘This time away has done Katie the world of good and is making wonderful progress.’

It comes after Katie extended her holiday at a £1,400-a-night Maldives retreat by a week after telling her bankruptcy hearing that she does not live a ‘lavish lifestyle’ over video chat in October.

The model, who has since returned to London with Carl, said ’90 per cent’ of her globe-trotting was for business and that her stay at the five-star resort was a ‘work assignment’.

Katie had been flaunting her luxury-laced holiday on Instagram, showing her relaxing on yachts or pool-side. It is believed to be her sixth holiday since being declared bankrupt in November 2019.

The mother-of-five, who was once worth around £40million, appeared before a bankruptcy hearing after her jet-setting was brought to the attention of judges through an anonymous tip-off.

At the hearing, Price dismissed the accusation from the anonymous tip-off that she enjoys a glamorous lifestyle, according to the Sun.

She told the hearing taking place in London of her mental health struggles, which she claimed was the reason for not dealing with her bankruptcy.

She told a previous hearing in July that she had ‘lost everything’ and suffered a ‘bad breakdown’ last year, following which she spent five weeks in rehab at The Priory.

Price said: ‘It is a long and tense process but I feel progress is now being made. I can only apologise, I just haven’t been able to deal with these issues or in the right mental state to understand everything that has been going on.’

The former model also reminded the hearing: ‘In the past, at the height of my career, I was a model and massive taxpayer.’

Price said she had considered selling her notorious pink Range Rover but that it is not roadworthy so has ‘no value other than sentimental value’.

At a hearing in October 2018, Price struck a deal with the taxman to gradually repay her mounting debts, but failed to stick to the plan, leading to her being declared bankrupt in November 2019.

Janet Hallamore, for the Official Receiver, told the judge on Tuesday that there are now three issues to resolve, involving Ms Price’s ‘income and expenditure’, how she has been funding recent holidays, and the ‘theft of jewellery’.

Ms Price said she had reported her ‘lost and stolen jewellery’ to the police more than six months ago and said her home has also been ‘subject to vandalism’.

She added: ‘I appreciate I have not been easy to communicate with and hard to track down, but I have not hidden.

‘I will work hard to make this right, however long this takes.’

At the time, it was reported that Price would not due to be discharged from her bankruptcy until November 2020 and is supposed to pay any money she makes to creditors.

This includes both earnings through work or any income from selling her belongings.

But a source previously told the Sun that Price was relaxed during the holiday to the Maldives as it had been paid for by Woods.

Price and Woods have been romantically involved for more than six months and during their retreat have showcased their relationship.

Price has been beset by financial woes during the past few years as high-paid work seemed to dry up.

She used to fund her lifestyle through modelling, reality TV shows and fragrances at the height of her fame in the 1990s and 2000s.

Nowadays her main cash flow appears to be her Quest Red TV show My Crazy Life, her YouTube channel and plugging paid products on her Instagram account.

She was forced to give up her £1.3million 11-bedroom ‘mucky mansion’ earlier this year after signing the property to a trustee.

The house in West Sussex, where Price lived with her children, included a swimming pool, tennis court and horse stables.

Only recently Price vowed to never return to the house of ‘bad memories’ and revealed she had moved in with Woods.

Price took out a second mortgage on the property in 2015 but faced monthly payments of £12,300, and is now thought to be £100,000 in arrears.

She is also believed to have spent £120,000 on housekeepers, gardeners and nannies.

Price has previously been married to singer Peter Andre, cage-fighter Alex Reid and former stripper Kieran Hayler.
