Mohamed Hadid's ex-fiancée Shiva Safei confirms romance with Dutch DJ

Mohamed Hadid’s ex-fiancée Shiva Safei, 39, confirms new romance with Dutch DJ, 26, following split from 71-year-old dad of models Gigi and Bella

She raised eyebrows when she walked the red carpet at the American Music Awards a week ago with a mystery hunk.

And now Shiva Safai has confirmed she’s parted ways with 71-year-old fiancé Mohamed Hadid, the father of models Gigi and Bella Hadid.

Safai, 39, posted a photo to Instagram showing her kissing new boyfriend Niels Houweling on the cheek and added a heart emoji in the caption.

It’s not known when exactly Shafai and controversial real estate developer Hadid parted ways but it appears to have been several months ago.

Houweling, a Dutch born DJ and music producer, tagged Safai in a photo he shared on his Instagram on June 15 in which he is lounging on a sofa as a female hand caresses his neck.

On Sunday November 24, the couple put on a glamorous show as they posed for photos together on the AMAs red carpet in Lops Angeles.

Safai flashed cleavage in a black lace bra under a black blazer dress and was adorned with a stunning diamond necklace and earrings.

Houweling was more casual in a white shirt with an undone black bow tie and skinny black pants.

Moved on: Safai, 39, and Hadid, 71, (pictured May 2018) got engaged in 2014. On November 24, Safai attended the American Music Awards with 26-year-old Houweling, right

Safai found fame following her engagement to Hadid in 2014.

The Iranian-born beauty was cast in the E! reality show Second Wives Club which aired for one season in 2017.

Hadid had split from second wife Yolanda in 2000 with whom he shares Gigi, 24, Bella, 23, and son Anwar, 20.

In February 2018, model Miranda Vee, then 23, accused Hadid of date-raping her in LA, an allegation he denied.

Their split comes nearly two years after model Miranda Vee accused Mohamed of date-raping her during a meeting, which he denied.

In November 2018, aspiring Polish model Justyna exclusively told Daily Mail that she and Hadid had engaged in explicit sexting for several months before meeting in person.

The two met in Breslau, Poland, while Hadid was on a business trip and had sex for the first time at the five-star Sofitel hotel.

The confirmation of the breakup comes after a judge in Los Angeles ordered the demolition of Hadid’s Bel-Air mega mansion that was constructed illegally and which, according to the judge, is ‘unsafe’, ‘dangerous’ and a ‘clear and present danger’ to neighboring homes.

The ruling prompted Hadid, who has a $17 million loan on the property, to file for bankruptcy right before the Thanksgiving holiday last week.

His lawyer told the court he ‘couldn’t afford’ to pay the estimated $5 million  cost of the demolition or the receiver’s $500,000 fee.

The civil case before Judge Karlan is running parallel with a criminal case in which Hadid has already pleaded no contest to illegal construction and is serving three years probation on condition he bring the house into compliance with building regulations – or tear it down – within that time.

Earlier this month LA city prosecutors filed a motion in the criminal case calling for the massive home – dubbed the ‘Starship Enterprise’ because it’s so huge – to be completely demolished by April 1 next year.

The judge in the criminal case, Judge Neetu Badhan-Smith, scheduled a hearing for December 13 to rule on the motion.
