Formula One return to the famous Monza circuity in Italy today for the Italian Grand Prix.
Ferrari fans were overjoyed after Charles Leclerc took pole position for today’s race.
Qualifying ended in a farce as all the teams tried to take advantage of the huge slipstream tow this track brings by tucking up behind another car.
With nobody wanting to be the first on track all the top teams left it too late for a final attempt with them running out time to put a quick lap in.
This meant Leclerc took pole with the Ferrari followed by the Mercedes of Hamilton and Bottas.
Sebastian Vettel took fourth and Daniel Ricciardo secured an impressive fifth for the Renault team.
Max Verstappen, Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris will all start the race from the back of the grid as a result of penalties for using too many engines.
Speaking after qualifying, Championship leader, Lewis Hamilton said: “I have to be grateful I am on the front row.
“We get to have a fight with the Ferraris tomorrow. We split them and it is a nice position to be in. We can give them a good fight.
“It was a bit of an anti-climax at the end but it is crazy with this system we now have and they basically timed us out.
“On the out lap it is dangerous. You don’t know who’s slowing down and who’s alongside you. It is risky business but it is enjoyable at the same time.”
