They were crowned the winners of Love Island 2019, despite only having meet just two weeks prior.
And, in an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Greg O’Shea, 24, declared: ‘All my eggs are in Amber’s basket’ as he arrived back in Ireland solo to a hero’s welcome on Wednesday, for the first time since winning the ITV series.
The rugby player insisted he ‘definitely will be faithful’ to Amber Gill, 22, as he revealed how he’d begged her to join him on his homecoming trip, but explained that she didn’t come with him because she’s ‘so busy’ in Britain.

People of all ages were at Shannon Airport for Greg’s homecoming with a number of girls keen to grab the hunk’s attention.
But, the Love Island star stressed that his head would not be turned, insisting: ‘I definitely will be faithful, I’ve always been a one woman kind of guy and Amber is a great girl.
‘I’m lucky to come out with her so I can’t wait to get her over here to meet my family and friends.
‘To use the Love Island phrase, all my eggs are in Amber’s basket right now, I’m only looking at her.’

The pair have spent time with Amber’s loved ones in Newcastle since leaving the villa, but the beautician chose not to join her beau for his return to Ireland.
Greg revealed: ‘I asked her about fifty times to come home with me but she’s so busy, everybody in Britain wants a bit of Amber, I’ll get her over very soon’.
When that time does come, the rugby star is keen to give Amber her first pint of Guinness at an ‘old man pub’.
He said: ‘I’ll have to bring her round to one of the pubs, one of the quiet old man pubs and give her a pint of Guinness, bring her for a walk, nothing too fancy.
‘You might think she’s a fancy girl but she likes the simple things of being around me and having fun’.

He said: ‘We only met each other three weeks ago, normal everyday life you wouldn’t ask someone that early.
‘We have to see how long distance will work, I think it will work. If we jump in things could get stressful, slow and steady but we’re going in the right direction’.
Since winning the fifth series and bagging half of the £50k prize money, Greg has received numerous TV offers but admitted he has no plans to return to reality TV in the near future.

The rugby player, and trainee lawyer revealed that he has more of an interest in working with health and fitness brands, and doesn’t plan on doing nightclub appearances.
He said: ‘I’m seeing what brands would like to work with me, I’d like to get into the health sector and the training side of things, obviously legal down the road but I have to qualify first.
‘Standing in front of nightclubs at two in the morning doesn’t go with what I’m about, nothing against people that do that but it’s not me.’
Returning to rugby and continuing his studies are still very important to the Limerick native, and he insisted: ‘Rugby is my first love.’
