Trent Alexander-Arnold set to miss England's Euro 2020 qualifier with Czech Republic

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD is set to miss England's clash with Czech Republic on Friday night after picking up a knock in training.

The Liverpool right-back, 20, is being monitored over the minor problem ahead of the Euro 2020 qualifier at Wembley.

Gareth Southgate has Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier in his squad for the Wembley clash and next week's trip to Montenegro.

Three Lions staff will decide whether to send Alexander-Arnold back to Melwood for treatment by his club.

Alexander-Arnold scored in the friendly win over USA during the last international break before Walker was used for the Uefa Nations League triumph against Croatia.

The right-back's injury is the latest issue for a Liverpool player during the international break.

Defender Andy Robertson missed Scotland's trip to Kazakhstan after undergoing dental treatment for an abscess.

Xherdan Shaqiri also pulled out of Switzerland's Euro qualifiers against Georgia and Denmark with a groin injury.

Liverpool are next in action in the Premier League against Tottenham on March 31.

Jurgen Klopp also hopes to welcome back Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from long-term injuries soon.
