Cops rushed to the scene in West Kensington after reports of a stabbing at 2.14pm – just a day after a 26-year-old man was knifed to death in East London.
Today, officers found a male believed to be in his teens with stab injuries near West Kensington tube station.
It comes after David Martinez, 26, was dragged out of his home and stabbed six times – including in the back and neck – in broad daylight in Leyton yesterday afternoon.
BLOODY VIOLENCE
Police say the attack is believed to have taken place inside a flat and that David knew his killer. His death is not believed to be gang related.
The attacks are the latest in a fortnight of bloody violence up and down the country which reached crisis point when two 17-year-olds were stabbed to death last weekend.
Girl Scout Jodie Chesney was knifed in the back as she listened to music with pals in an East London park while straight A-Grammar school student Yousef Makki was knifed to death in a posh Cheshire village.
STAB INJURIES
Referring to the incident earlier today, A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police were called at 2.14pm to Lanfrey Place, West Kensington, to reports of a stabbing.
"Officers found a male believed to be in his teens with stab injuries and we await an update on his condition.
"Emergency services remain on scene. No arrests at this stage. Enquiries continue.
"If you have any information about this incident, call 101 quoting CAD 4136/07MAR or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
