Boeing’s flying car takes to the skies for the first time – and it looks amazing

While flying cars were once in the realm of science-fiction, they’re slowly but surely becoming a reality.

Boeing has completed the first test flight of its flying car in Manassas, Virginia – and it looked amazing.

During the test flight, the car completed a controlled takeoff, hover and landing.

However, it’s yet to test forward-flight mode, which is typically the biggest challenge for flying vehicles.

Greg Hyslop, Chief Technology Officer at Boeing, said: “In one year, we have progressed from a conceptual design to a flying prototype.

”Boeing’s expertise and innovation have been critical in developing aviation as the world’s safest and most efficient form of transportation, and we will continue to lead with a safe, innovative and responsible approach to new mobility solutions.”
