WENDY'S is having a one day only "GroupNug" – free four-piece nuggets at their drive-thru today.
Here's how to get your hands on them with no strings or other conditions attached.
How do I get the free nuggets?
To get your free spice or crispy nuggets you just have to show up at a Wendy's drive-thru.
There is no purchase necessary, the chain is literally giving them away.
The free nuggets come in four-piece, but if you want more then they also have six- or ten-piece portions, though those aren't free.
All come with a choice of six dipping sauces: Buttermilk Ranch, Creamy Sriracha, BBQ, Sweet and Sour, Honey Mustard or Side of S'Awesome.
Wendy's is also giving away a free Breakfast Baconator, which was launched March 2 with a recent menu expansion, with any mobile order breakfast purchase using the offer on the Wendy's app.
The small nuggets normally cost around $1.19, with prices varying by location, but they will be free at all Wendy's drive-thru restaurants on April 24.
Why is there an offer on now?
Wendy's brought back the spicy nuggets in August 2019, after they were originally discontinued due to lack of customer demand.
The fast-food chain has taken a really bad hit to their stock prices since February 21 due to coronavirus, but are assuring their customers that they remain open and have been making a recovery after a disastrous mid-March.
Wendy's President and CEO, Todd Penegor, said in a statement: "Most Wendy's restaurants are currently operating with drive-thru and delivery service only."
The chain is currently using non-contact and limited-contact ordering in line with social distancing measures
It is also giving its hourly crew members, shift managers and assistant general managers a 10 per cent increase in hourly pay over the next five weeks.
The fast-food chain is also protecting part of the monthly bonus for April for its general managers and district managers, and offering free meals for employees, with discounted meals on their days off.
