Dog refuses to move from spot where owner was killed in car crash 18 months ago

A dog whose owner was killed in a crash has refused to move from the scene of the tragedy for 18 MONTHS.

Such is the devotion of the mourning mutt that locals have built a home for him.

People in Nafpaktos, Greece, have tried to adopt the pet themselves, but the stubborn animal has insisted on staying put.

Instead they have built a shrine to his owner Haris, who was 40 when he died after being hit by a cement mixer in November 2017.

Haris' brother had died just months earlier, according to reports in Greece.

The animal, whose name is unknown, has been filmed at the roadside close to where the fatal crash happened.

It isn't clear how the dog got there though, as the scene of the crash is seven-and-a-half miles from his home, Nafpaktia News reports.

He's refused to move, and even when it gets hot, only goes to a nearby area of shade.
