Phillip Schofield admits he's jealous of Holly Willoughby's I'm A Celeb role

The This Morning host tuned in last night to watch Holly’s debut in the jungle, after she landed the coveted gig alongside Declan Donnelly.

When a fan tweeted him asking: "Jealous yet Phillip?", he swiftly replied: "Sooooo jealous lol.”

The star continued to tweet about Holly as fans asked him questions throughout the first episode.

One fan asked him: “@Schofe Do you think @hollywills is wearing those boots so nothing crawls in her shoes? #ImACeleb #stinkyfeet.”

He replied: “Well I thought we’d agreed she would wear trousers and bicycle clips… she’s gone rogue!"

And when someone else questioned if he was proud, he told them: “So proud.”

This Morning presenter Holly is standing in for Dec's long-time co-host Ant McPartlin as he takes a continued break from his TV commitments.

Opening the live show, Dec told viewers: "Good morning, good evening, and welcome to Australia where the more eagle-eyed viewers among you would have already noticed a big change to this year's show, yes, one of the most gorgeous presenters on British television… has been joined by Holly Willoughby!"

Holly said: "This is so weird. Normally about this time I'm at home, pouring myself a big glass of white wine, to watch you, and I'm in the jungle."

Dec quipped: "And she's already drunk it. And we're ready for action."

Dec, known for his on-screen banter with Ant, also delivered an innuendo-packed joke about Ant's absence.

Holly struggled to contain her laughter as Dec said: "It's different, I'll be honest – it's a little bit different, because you know, I've never actually done it with a girl before.

"So, it's a little bit different for me, I normally do it with a bloke every night, and people watching it seem to enjoy it."
