Naga Munchetty was back on BBC Breakfast today and she was joined by Charlie Stayt and weather expert Tomasz Schafernaker. But, when talking about the changes in temperatures throughout the day in London, Naga took a swipe at her BBC co-host, suggesting they didn’t think she listened when they were reporting.

Tomasz was on BBC Breakfast today, giving the most up-to-date forecast for the rainy looking weekend.

“In the south, despite the winds, despite the unsettled weather, we still keep the temperatures in the low 20s,” Tomasz concluded.

“And that will take us to about 23c, which is a degree above where we should be, that’s it.”

Naga interrupted: “I know maybe you think I don’t always listen but have the temperatures gone up particularly in London I have noticed?”

“Weren’t they 22 earlier this morning for Saturday and Sunday?” Naga added.

A slightly confused Tomasz looked at his map and said: “No, whether it is 22 or 23 these weather maps and the symbols are updated very regularly, sometimes every hour.

“But whether it’s 22 or 23 it doesn’t really, you wouldn’t notice it.”

Naga added: “Well, you say that.

“That is the difference between long sleeve, short sleeve and long trousers and short trousers.

“Yes – that is my threshold,” Naga added.

Charlie interrupted the conversation: “Weather does change Naga.

“Can I just help Tom here? Weather changes ok? Weather does change.”

“The weather does change indeed,” Tomasz added.

“You know what, I will point out people look at the app and it does change hour to hour.

“It will, that’s what it is supposed to do.

“It’s just like the traffic prediction or your estimated time of arrival. It will tweak.”

Naga wasn’t too happy and said: “All I wanted was just you to be happy that I pay such close attention to your reports.”

Tomasz laughed and said: “You do, you pay tremendous attention.”

“All I get from Charlie is, ‘Weather changes’,” Naga joked.

Charlie quickly moved the show on and revealed what was left to come on the show today.

Elsewhere on the show today, there were some technical difficulties.

Charlie was forced to apologise early in the show after Dr Rachel Ward was cut off.

Unfortunately, the hosts weren’t able to get Dr Rachel back, but luckily the show wasn’t affected too badly.

BBC Breakfast airs on BBC One daily at 6am.
