Emmerdale sows the seeds for Lachlan White’s downfall tonight (August 31) as he’s left horrified by some shocking news.
Lachlan’s dark storyline will come to a head in some highly dramatic episodes next week, but this evening’s visit to the village will reveal what sparks the alarming chain of events.
The tables have started to turn on the teenage serial killer recently, as the police found a bloodied rock in the woods which is currently under investigation.
While most people in the village have assumed that the unsettling discovery was animal blood, Emmerdale fans know that Lachlan (Thomas Atkinson) possibly has two bodies hidden away – Rebecca White and Gerry’s fake uncle Terry.
In tonight’s Emmerdale episode, Lachlan is spending time with the Dingles at The Woolpack when Doug Potts (Duncan Preston) has some alarming news to share.
While viewers will have to tune in this evening to see what Doug has to say, it’s enough to send Lachlan into all-out panic as he fears that his darkest secrets are now under threat.
Will Doug’s news relate to Rebecca or the conman? And what will Lachlan do next as he tries to regain control of the situation?
Next week’s episodes see Lachlan’s true colours exposed to his girlfriend Belle as his luck finally starts to run out.
Eden Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle, recently explained: “I think this is the most shocking we’ve seen Lachlan, because we’ve never seen him actually confront what he’s done and say it out loud. This is the first time he mentally comes to terms with it and says: ‘Yes, I’ve actually done all of this’.”
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV.
