BBC Strictly’s Nigel Harman breaks silence after he’s accused of ‘mood swings’

Casualty star Nigel Harman has broken his silence after reports that the BBC Strictly crew are relieved he stepped down due to his ‘mood swings and storming off.’

Nigel shocked fans when it was announced that the actor would not be returning to compete in the quarterfinals.

The 50-year-old pulled out of the show just hours before Saturday's live performance, with reports revealing that he had sustained a rib injury during rehearsals while practising a stunt.

Nigel was paired with professional dancer Katya Jones, and both have expressed their sadness at having to take a step back so close to the finals.

Nigel and Katya appeared on BBC 2’s It Takes Two on Monday, 4 December, where Nigel broke his silence on his departure.

The star said: “I’m still in quite a lot of pain so I’m sort of moping around the house thinking I wonder where Katya is doing today.

Three days ago we were about to do this dance that we knew was going to be great. So it feels quite strange and surreal. I don’t feel like I’ve left yet.”
