THE transfer window has now closed – and attention turns towards Arsenal's Prem opener against Newcastle.

Kieran Tierney has signed and David Luiz has made the switch across the capital as Unai Emery's side took deadline day by storm – and could still sell players as the window in European leagues is over at the end of the month.

  • THE Metropolitan Police have released a statement on the two men arrested following an incident outside Mesut Ozil's home on Thursday night.

    Both Ozil and team-mate Sead Kolasinac were left out of the travelling Arsenal squad to face Newcastle due to further security incidents.

    The Met Police said: “Two men have been charged under Section 4a of the Public Order Act following an incident in Camden on Thursday, 8 August.

    “Ferhat Ercan, 27, of Highgate, and Salaman Ekinci, 27, of Tottenham, were charged on August 9 following the incident and are due to appear at Highbury Corner magistrates’ court on 6 September.”

  • UNAI EMERY has hinted that further sales at Arsenal could take place over the coming weeks.

    Speaking at Arsenal's pre-match press conference, the Spaniard said: “In the next 20-25 days some players will leave.

    “It's the reason, I want to close our squad clearly.”

    German defender Shkodran Mustafi has been linked with a move away.

    While the English transfer window closed on Thursday, teams in most European countries are still able to be active in the market.
