The Only Way Is Essex hunk James ‘Lockie’ Lock has eyed up a stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after pushing himself to the limit on The Challenge.

Loyal fans of the MTV show will remember the hunk, 36, joined the beloved show for the eighth series back in 2013, making him one of the longest-serving cast members. During his time on the show, he was quite the ladies' man and dated many of his co-stars on the show.

He found himself at the centre of various storylines over the years, especially with his best friend Dan Osbourne. Lockie also appeared on several other reality shows such as Evil Monkeys (2018), Your Face or Mine (2018), MTV Cribs (2019) and Celebs Go Dating (2020).

Now, the reality star has eyed up future TV stints Down Under after he pushed himself to the limit on The Challenge in the United States earlier this year. In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, the hunk has confessed that he would love to join the cast of I’m A Celeb next year.

He told us at the launch of his Sci-Mx launch party: “I would love to do them shows because it forces me to step out of my comfort zone. I'd love to go into the jungle like Tarzan, swinging through the trees.

“A lot of people say things don’t faze me but what it is is I don’t over think things, if that makes sense. If I think about something it will worry me.

“Don't get me wrong if I saw a snake, I'd be s**ting it but I don’t over think it and I just try and get things done. I mean I'm saying this now but when I'm in that situation, I might have a different reaction.”

It appears as though the hunk has already been training for the winter reality show after he was forced to eat pigs brains while competing on The Challenge. He explained: “I’ve done a few good food-based stuff that I’ve done on The Challenge.

“We had to do an eating challenge and one of the challenges was eating pigs brains but I did it straight away – they actually thought I’d cheated! I’d done it that quickly that they thought I'd cheated.

“The trick was not to breathe it in, so you don’t smell it. I just swallowed it, that was my trick. Honestly. I didn’t smell it, I just pinched my nose and threw it back in one shot and that was it.”
