Strictly Come Dancing’s Bobby Brazier ‘bans relative from BBC studio’ after feud

Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier has apparently 'banned' a relative from coming to watch him in the studio because of a feud.

The EastEnders actor, 20, who is partnered with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, is competing in the semi-final on Saturday and his dad Jeff Brazier, brother Freddie and step-mum Kate are likely to be watching on in the audience.

But, ahead of the show, it's been claimed that Bobby has only had his immediate family supporting him in the studio throughout the series due to a long-running argument between Jeff and his grandmother Jackiey Budden, his late mother Jade Goody's mum.

A source told the Sun: "There is a lot of friction between the Brazier side of the family and Jackiey for several long-standing reasons.

"But viewers have been surprised not to see Jackiey in the Strictly audience as she is Bobby’s grandmother. The prospect she is now facing is either not getting to see Bobby before he exits the semi-final, or not being allowed to watch him in person if he makes it to the final and wins the glitterball."

It comes after Jackiey shared her support for Bobby in August when it was revealed he'd be taking part in the show, telling MailOnline she was proud of him.

She said: "I'm very, very proud of Bobby. He is doing amazing. It's great to see. I watch as a very proud nan. It's wonderful. Of course I am pleased he is doing well."

However, while singing her grandson's praises, Jackiey also took a swipe at Jeff, saying that he's been a "c*** for f****** nine years."

The ongoing rift between Jeff and Jackiey meant that Bobby and his brother Freddie lost contact with their grandmother for a while.

But in 2021, Bobby revealed that they were back in touch, telling his fans on Instagram: "I didn't see her for ages – for way too long – but I went to see her twice recently."

Last year, in a resurfaced video that's recently gone viral, Bobby and Jackiey were seen spending quality time together and dancing at a Jade Goody charity ball that was organised by the star's husband Jack Tweedy.

According to reports, the 36 year old managed to raise £30,000 for The Trust for Complementary Cancer Rehabilitation.

Bobby and Freddie's mum Jade tragically lost her life to cervical cancer in 2009. Jade found fame on the Channel 4 reality show, Big Brother in 2002, and went on to enjoy a successful career in showbiz before her untimely passing.
