I’m A Celeb winner Sam Thompson makes jaws drop as fans discover his real name

I’m A Celebrity fans have been left stunned after finding out winner Sam Thompson’s real name.

The reality star was one of many famous faces roughing it up in the Aussie jungle for the 2023 series. He joined the likes of Danielle Harold and Josie Gibson to be pushed to their limits, all in front of the nation.

And it’s fair to say Sam, who shot to fame on Made in Chelsea. went down a treat with viewers at home. So much so, that he ended up winning the series.

Sam was crowned King Of The Jungle last weekend, with boxer Tony Bellew becoming the runner-up. Politician Nigel Farage came in third place on the show.

However, viewers have since uncovered what Sam’s full name is – and it has left many viewers shocked. The cheeky chap’s full christened name is 'Sam Robert De Courcy Thompson'.

His lengthy moniker has got plenty of people talking online. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Sam Thompson from Made in Chelsea, a show about posh people, has a posh name? shocker.”

Someone else added: “Gotta love that people think Nigel Farage is a posh privileged git, but Samuel Robert De Courcy Thompson is some ordinary geezer.” A third quipped: “Samuel Robert De Courcy Thompson has the right sort of name to make something of himself!”

It comes after Sam has been tipped to land a job on ITV's hit daytime show. Bookies reckon Sam's career is about to sky-rocket following his huge success on the show.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: "Sam Thompson's reign as King of the Jungle may still be in its infancy, but we're already looking ahead to what lies in store next for the Made in Chelsea star." He's got odds of 4/6 to appear as a host on This Morning by the end of the year, with a TV team-up between himself and Tony at 3/1. "The I'm A Celebrity winner is meanwhile 8/1 to follow in his girlfriend Zara McDermott's footsteps and take to the Strictly. ballroom next year," Lee added.
