Ferne McCann enjoys pumpkin-themed family day out at farm after voice-note gate

Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann got well and truly into the Halloween spirit this week as she enjoyed a pumpkin-themed family day out at a local farm in Essex.

The 32 year old mum-of-one took daughter Sunday along with a group of pals to Marsh Farm in Chelmsford, where they experienced the popular pumpkin village as spooky season gets into full swing.

Documenting the visit on social media, Ferne shared a series of snaps from the exciting day out, as she shared a glimpse of what visitors to the farm could expect if they too wanted to follow in her footsteps.

In the first image she shared, a group of smiling children could be seen seated on a wooden swing bench, while multicoloured flowers lined the swing’s frame alongside a sign which read Marsh Farm.

At first glance, the picture could’ve easily been mistaken for a summer snap, but an ominous jack-o-lantern decoration hanging from the fence in the background signalled things were about to get a little more spooky.

In the second snap from her visit, Ferne shared an adorable image of three young members of her entourage posing beside a skeleton, while a pair of pumpkins flanked the skeleton’s bony feet.

Dressed in shades of orange, black and white, the girls outfit choices were definitely in keeping with the autumnal season, while their cheeky grins promised plenty of mischief for any future trick or treating.

Deviating slightly from the Halloween theme to focus on a more Harvest orientated aesthetic, Ferne then went on to reveal a glimpse of the countless pumpkins adorning the pumpkin patch, as hundreds of the delicious fruits could be seen lining the grass.

Reminiscing over her time at the farm, Ferne added: “I love this time of year so much.”

While many people could easily be led to believe that a pumpkin patch is purely for a pick-your-own day out, Ferne’s photographs revealed there were also a number of other interactive things to do at the farm too.

One highlight from her day, appeared to be when the children climbed inside a giant pumpkin for themselves and took a seat before posing for a photo in the larger-than-life installation.

In a scene that easily could have looked at home in a pantomime, the children could hardly contain their excitement as they grinned and stared excitedly at the walls of the gigantic gourd.

Their enthusiasm also didn’t dim later in the day either, as they got very hands-on with a Halloween display featuring cobwebs, mini pumpkins and a handful of skeletons!

It was “such an amazing day for the kiddies,” gushed Ferne in a caption alongside her post.

After a long day out, sadly the visit had to come to an end, but the family didn’t go home empty handed as Ferne later revealed two terrifying jack-o-lanterns she had hand carved after returning home with produce from the pumpkin patch.

“Thoroughly enjoyed this.” She concluded. “Kids smashed it.”

The latest outing comes just weeks after Ferne was embroiled in a voice-note scandal.

News of the ordeal broke late last month had seen voice-notes by Ferne leaked online where she allegedly made explosive comments about Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd.
