It will come as a surprise to no one that — in heterosexual, two-parent relationships — moms are expected to juggle most of the parenting load. It’s fairly likely that as you’re reading this, you’re also making a mental list of all the things you have to get done today. It’s a list that — again — the majority of dads aren’t constantly thinking about and planning for. So it’s easy for them to move about their day without all the caretaking considerations at the forefront.
What a life.
That was made obvious in a recent episode of Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce’s podcast. ICYMI: The brothers are NFL players who went head-to-head in the 2023 Super Bowl. And yes, there is a whole lot of [pretty reasonable] speculation that Travis and Taylor Swift are dating.
And while we keep an eye on that rumored romance, we turn to Jason and his wife Kylie’s adorable romance! The two share three daughters — Wyatt, 4 Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 7 months, who was due so close to the Super Bowl that Kylie brought her OB-GYN to the game! At the premiere of Kelce, an Amazon Prime Video documentary about Jason, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles wore a black T-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops.
“I was going to have jeans on, but Kylie was running late,” Jason said.
“Kylie what?” Travis interjected, smelling some BS.

“I came straight from football, Kylie was going to bring the jeans. Kylie was late.”
Oh no he didn’t try to blame it on his wife! Travis was quick to put his brother in his place and defend his sister-in-law.
“Jason, why didn’t Jason bring jeans for Jason?” the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs asked (ding ding ding!), later adding that Kylie was probably (definitely!) “too busy putting jeans on the three girls.”
Jason quickly conceded after that. “She was too busy getting the entire family situated with the babysitter, and then getting herself ready, and making sure her parents were with her,” he said.
Commenters were loving Travis’ response. “Travis understanding and explaining the mental load is my favorite part of this!!!” “That’s the hottest thing I’ve ever heard Travis say.” “Travis has every married woman wishing he was her husband after this. 🤣” “Travis — From all women everywhere … THANK YOU. 🙏🏻☠️”
Yes, yes, yes! Thank you, Travis. And we’ll say it louder for the dads in the back: “Bring your own damn jeans!”
