A MAKEUP artist shared her tips and tricks that can knock off years on your appearance and mistakes you should avoid.

Makeup can be used for many purposes, such as enhancing certain features and providing coverage of blemishes.

Selena Marchand, a makeup artist who creates content on TikTok, shared her top seven tips for looking younger.

"Get yourself some brow powder and an angle brush, and start filling in those eyebrows," she advised her followers.

"Make sure to go one shade lighter than your hair color," Selena said.

For her next tip, the TikToker told viewers to "take some bronzer, and put it right into your crease."

She explained: "It’s pretty high up, but this is really going to open your eyes as they become more hooded."

She also recommended using an eyelash curler during your makeup routine.

Moving on to foundation, Selena said: "The IT Cosmetics CC Cream is great for mature skin, and you can mix it with a little bit of cream if you don’t need all the coverage."

She continued: "Make sure that when you are putting on your foundation, you are using a makeup brush and not your fingers."

"This way, it’s going to give you a much more air-brushed flawless finished look to your foundation," she explained.

Selena also recommended using "concealer around the eyes [and] make sure you’re setting it with a translucent powder."

"This is going to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles," she explained to her followers.

For her final tip, Selena said: "When you’re applying your blush, make sure you put it on the apple of your cheek up towards the temple."

Demonstrating the makeup technique, she explained: "So we’re not bringing it back towards the ear, we’re going up."

Selena's followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the makeup tips.
