Shirley Ballas, 61, has been the head judge on Strictly Come Dancing since the departure of Len Goodman in 2017. The ballroom dancer shared on Instagram that she had “one of those days”, amid her recent health issues.

Shirley took to Instagram yesterday evening, sharing an update to a story in view of her 238,000 followers.

In her story she penned: “One of those days today.

“How was your day?”

Along with the message she posted an enlarged sad face emoji.

Shirley has since deleted the Instagram story.

Elsewhere, Shirley has previously shared how she had to go to the doctors about her shoulder earlier this month, following her cancer scare in June of last year.

She posted on Instagram on February 1 to thank her friend Karen Hilton for driving her to the hospital on her day off from the Strictly tour.

She wrote: “A huge thank you to @Karenmarcus1960 for always being there for me.

“Day off from the Strictly tour, drive back to London, trip to the hospital are my shoulders.” (sic)

“Huge gratitude now on my way back to North Sheffield,” she continued. (sic)

“Thank you Karen, you are the best caring person.” (sic)

Last year, Shirley shared the news that she had endured a cancer scare after discovering a lump on her shoulder.

Speaking on GB News last June, she described her “worrying” health issues as she revealed that she was also suffering from COVID-19 at the same time.

She said: “I got the Covid virus and then they found a ganglion cyst or a tumour in my shoulder.

“I am going backwards and forwards to the hospital all the time.

“I feel I seem to be getting sicker by the minute. I can’t seem to get up and out.”

“They are not really sure what it is yet. They’ve done the dye and the MRIs and this and that.

“I’ve been back so many times, and I will go for the results in a few weeks… They put the words ‘ganglion’ and ‘tumour’ in the same bracket.

“The gentleman seems to think it will be fine but still it is worrying.”

A ganglion cyst is a fluid-filled swelling that, while harmless, can be painful.

Shirley also added that the virus had “knocked her off her feet” and that the illness had altogether “taken its toll” on her body.

Shirley has just finished the Strictly Come Dancing live tour, with their last show on February 13.

The live show featured performances from the last series celebrities including Tilly Ramsay, winner Rose Ayling-Ellis, Sara Davies and Maisie Smith.

Maisie was filling in for AJ Odudu who was unable to take part in the live shows after suffering an injury, leading her to pull out of the Strictly final.

The show concluded at London’s 02 Arena on Sunday.
