Simon Cowell is hit with a plastic arrow by his cheeky son Eric

Simon Cowell is hit with a plastic arrow by his cheeky son Eric, 7, as he enjoys a family dinner with his partner Lauren Silverman

He’s become a doting father ever since he welcomed his son in 2014.

And Simon Cowell was clearly enjoying a fun-filled afternoon with his little boy Eric on Saturday, after the music mogul was seen with a plastic arrow fixated to his forehead.

The Britain’s Got Talent, 60, was hit by the toy as he enjoyed dinner with his partner Lauren Silverman and their son in Malibu.

Showing his playful side, Simon could be seen with a faux unimpressed expression as the arrow landed on his forehead.

The star, who has been continuing his lengthy recovery after breaking his back in August 2020, was joining his partner Lauren and their son Eric for dinner, along with his ex Terri Seymour and her family.

Simon’s family outing comes as he is reportedly gearing up to launch a new TV car show.

The music mogul is said to consider the decision a ‘no brainer’ having been approached by a ‘number of well-known car experts and racing drivers wanting to partner with him over the years’.

Simon is currently developing the new show – will rival Top Gear – and ‘eyeing up’ producers.

A source told The Sun: ‘Simon has always been a huge car lover — and a car show is always something he has been interested in doing.’

‘He loves talking cars [and] right now there feels like an especially large appetite. The idea of a new car show is really a no-brainer for him.’

It was also reported in July that X Factor had been axed after 17 years.

Simon is said to have pulled the plug on the ITV talent show – which launched in 2004 and last aired in 2018 – because he doesn’t want it to ‘become a bit of a joke.’
