NTAs 2020 EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street’s Alison King appears to be escorted out of the ceremony… as an onlooker claims actress was ‘drunk’

It is well known that booze is free flowing at the National Television Awards, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield regularly joking about the raucous night.

And it appears Alison King may have indulged in one glass too many at this year’s event, as she was seemingly escorted out of the ceremony at 9pm Tuesday evening.

According to an onlooker at the star-studded bash who caught the moment on video, the Coronation Street star, 46, was ‘drunk’ as she left the awards.

Leaving? it appears Alison King may have indulged in one glass too many at the National Television Awards on Tuesday, as she was seemingly escorted out of the ceremony at 9pm

One person who had recorded the moment on their phone joked that Alison was ‘absolutely t*****ed’, as they shared a clip of the moment.

Another witness who had noticed the very merry moment, said: ‘Just to let y’all know, I was in the audience at the #NTAs and Carla from Corrie had to be carried out of the audience cos she was so p***ed [laughing face] this was at 9pm’.

In the clip, Alison stood up from her seat in the audience and was seemingly led away by a blonde woman who linked arms with the soap star.

MailOnline have contacted representatives for Alison for further comment.

Earlier in the evening Alison looked stunning in a sleek black gown as she took to the red carpet ahead of the night’s festivities.

Alison’s strapless number also featured statement sleeves and a sexy thigh slit up the leg of the garment, which she teamed with barely-there heeled sandals.

This way! In the clip, Alison stood up from her seat in the audience and was seemingly led away by a blonde woman who linked arms with the soap star

The brunette beauty wore her glossy tresses in tight ringlets and highlighted her pretty visage with a soft pallet of make-up, which was impeccably applied.

She accessorised with a simple black choker-style necklace and continued the all black theme with a slouchy clutch bag, no doubt packed full of her night out essentials.

The actress, who plays Carla Connor in the long-running soap, beamed with delight as she posed for pictures with her hand rested on her hip.

Home time? Alison appeared in high spirits as she chatted to the blonde woman she was walking alongside
