Jules Sebastian turns husband Guy's head away from Samantha Jade

Moment Jules Sebastian turns her husband Guy’s head away from their friend Samantha Jade so she can speak to him

Footage of a candid moment between Guy Sebastian, his wife Jules and their friend Samantha Jade is circulating on social media.

The video, which was uploaded by a fan on TikTok on Sunday, shows singer Guy, 40, and stylist Jules, 41, having a conversation with the X Factor star, 34, and her fiancé Pat Handlin outside Coogee Pavillion in Sydney.

The foursome were standing on the footpath when Guy said something to Samantha, prompting his wife to suddenly grasp his chin and turn his head so he was facing her instead.

It’s unclear what Guy said to make Jules turn his head around, but there’s no suggestion he said or did anything inappropriate.

She proceeded to tell her husband something, before bursting into laughter.

Pat didn’t appear to notice the interaction because he was busy typing on his phone.

Samantha has been close friends with Guy for years, having met the Australian Idol winner when she was just 16 working in Sweden.

‘I knew him through the industry and then I remember I met Jules and we just completely glued,’ she told Who magazine last year.

The pair grew even closer in 2012 when Samantha won The X Factor Australia with Guy as her mentor.

Samantha is also good pals with Jules, and often spends time hanging out with the Sebastians and their two sons.

The Bounce hitmaker previously lived at the couple’s home for two months when she first moved to Sydney from Perth.

‘[Jules is] wonderful. They’re just great people! They’re from Adelaide; I’m from Perth. Guy’s Anglo-Indian; I’m Anglo-Indian. Jules is Scottish; my mum was Scottish. There’s so many connections,’ she once said.

In 2015, Samantha rubbished false rumours she had an affair with Guy during her time on The X Factor, and that she’d only won the singing competition because of their connection.

She addressed the fake news during an interview with Jules herself, as part of the influencer’s popular YouTube series Tea with Jules.

‘They’re both not true,’ Samantha said of the rumours.

Samantha insisted her friendship with her mentor actually gave her a disadvantage in the competition, explaining: ‘I think that is why I was at the bottom so much at the beginning too because they were like, “You’re friends; of course she is going to win.”

‘But it actually worked against me I think, more than helped me.’
