US marine pilot draws a penis in the sky

US marine pilot draws ANOTHER penis in the sky a year after navy crew were punished for their phallic contrail (but this time no one on the ground saw it)

  • Marine Corps crew flew over lake in California marking out the phallic shape
  • 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing used GPS in propeller plane to draw obscene patterns
  • T-34C aircraft spotted by military movement trackers moving in a penis outline
  • US Marine Corps spokesman said investigation had been opened into incident

A military air crew are being investigated after they used a 70-year-old propeller plane to scrawl the outline of a penis using their flight paths.

The Marine Corps T-34C crew flew over a remote area of Southern California marking out a phallic shaped pattern with their GPS positions.

It comes a year the Navy was forced to apologize for a similar incident when a fighter pilot used his contrails to draw a penis in the sky over Washington with his contrails – that one was visible for miles around and the crew were punished in the wake of outrage.

But experts say it is extremely unlikely the phallic flight path would have been visible from the ground – because the propeller-driven T-34C would not have left white air trails in the prevailing atmospheric conditions .

An investigation has been launched after the craft from the Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 was spotted marking out the obscene course

Condensed air trails can be created by propellers and engine of craft, but it is thought the plane would have been travelling at to low  height to leave a noticeable trail visible from the ground.

The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing was spotted by military air movement trackers using the T-34C aircraft to outline the naughty images over the Salton Sea in Southern California.

Aircraft Spots, where users can view live flight paths and which says on its Twitter bio monitors military air movements, picked up the risque flight paths.

Users saw the craft from the Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 move in two phallic-shaped patterns around the salt lake near Salton City yesterday.

The @AircraftSpots account Tweeted, alongside screenshots of the flight tracker: ‘Somebody needs to have a word with the crew of US Navy T-34C 160937 SHUTR91 out of MCAS Miramar.’

A second tweet clarified that the pranksters were actually from the Marine Corp.

Alongside a another screenshot was written: ‘160937 belongs to the US Marine Corps VMFAT-101 at MCAS Miramar.’

The T-34C aircraft was confirmed as a US Marine Corps plane by a spokesman who spoke with military publication Task and Purpose.

Major Josef Patterson, a spokesman for the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, said: ‘We’ve opened an investigation that is under way as we speak. More to follow soon.’

A statement added: ‘A T-34C aircraft assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, flew an irregular flight pattern over the Salton Sea that resembled a phallic image.

Last year a similar incident involving a navy pilot saw a penis drawn in the sky above Okanogan in Washington

In November last year the navy was forced to apologize for a similar incident, when a pilot from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island used a plane to do ‘penis drawings’ in air trails which appeared in the sky above Okanogan, Washington.

The pilots were reprimanded and a letter issued to the state’s young people read: ‘The US Navy owes you, your parents, and your students an apology for the unacceptable obscene contrails that were created by one of my aircraft on Nov. 16.

‘I impressed upon them that this immature act was counter to our culture which values treating everyone with dignity and respect.’
