Two men fighting for life after four stabbings on another night of violence in London

TWO men are fighting for life in hospital after four people were stabbed following a fight in Central London in the early hours of this morning.

The latest violent incident comes after five people were shot in three separate shootings in just six hours in the capital.

Police are investigating after four men were stabbed following a fight that started on High Holborn.

At around 3.15am this morning, police were alerted by the London Ambulance Service that two men had gone to a hospital with stab wounds.

A 34-year-old man is in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Another man, 27, is not thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries.

The two men are thought to have been knifed during the fight on High Holborn, where a crime scene remains in place.

At about 3.30am, cops stopped on Clerkenwell Road after seeing a car parked with its hazard lights on.

In the car were two 25 year-old-men with stab injuries, who were both rushed to hospital.

One man has since been discharged for hospital and has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and is currently in custody.

The other man remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

It comes after five people were injured as horrific violence broke out across the city on a blood-soaked Friday night.

Two were shot in Brixton just before 7pm, another two people were shot in Hackney between 1am and 2am on Saturday, and a fifth person was injured in Croydon at 1.40am.

Two men were rushed to hospital in Brixton, South London, after reportedly being attacked by a man armed with a sub-machine gun.

Elsewhere in London, a police officer suffered a head injury while breaking up a mass brawl as 200 people hit the streets for Eid celebrations.

Shocking footage showed men trading blows as baton-wielding cops arrest a suspect in Ilford, North East London last night.

And in Shoreditch, a police officer was hit by a bottle outside the High Street tube station on Friday night, while elsewhere in the same district a wild brawl broke out.

Meanwhile families were kept awake until 3am as scores of people attended an illegal house party in North London.

Officers broke up the event, said to have been held at an Airbnb property in Archway, on Friday night, following complaints from neighbours.

Footage of the party showed dozens of people in the garden of the terraced house not wearing masks or socially distancing.

More than 50 officers helped break up the event, which was attended by over 160 people, a furious neighbour claimed.

The summer shooting spree comes after knife crime on the streets of Britain was at its bloodiest ever last year.

Cops recorded 45,627 knife offences in 2019 – a jump of seven per cent compared to the previous year.

There were 149 murder probes in London in 2019, which was the highest total since 2008.

Of those stabbed to death, 23 were teens, up from 16 in 2018.
