Teen who tossed egg at Brooklyn synagogue busted on hate crime charges

A teenager who threw an egg at a Brooklyn synagogue and chucked another one at a woman in Borough Park has been arrested on a number of hate crime charges, police said.

Mohib Hoque, 18, was arrested Thursday for the Nov. 9 attacks in the predominately orthodox neighborhood, cops said.

He was hit with three counts of hate crime assault, three counts of hate crime aggravated harassment, three counts of hate crime harassment and hate crime reckless endangerment, the NYPD said.

Hoque allegedly chucked an egg at a 38-year-old woman who was walking on 38th Street near 14th Avenue at about 6 p.m. The woman was not hit and no one was injured, cops said.

About 15 minutes later, Hoque allegedly threw another egg at a wall of nearby Congregation Bnei Torah Sanz, police said.

Cops are still looking for two other egg throwers, who pelted a woman on 38th Street and 15th Avenue the next day, authorities said.
