Stolen luxury £70K Range Rover found stripped of almost ALL its parts in Birmingham driveway

A STOLEN luxury Range Rover worth at least £70,000 was found stripped of almost all its parts in a Birmingham driveway yesterday.

Police were stunned to find just the shell of the flash motor after responding to reports of a possible stolen car.

They arrived to a street in the Kingshurst area yesterday to discover the four-by-four missing nearly all of its vital parts.

It was without an engine, a bonnet, doors or even an interior.

Chelmsley Wood Police tweeted a photo of the gutted car – showing it was left with just a chassis, wiring and its four wheels.

The force tweeted: "Chelmsley officers responded to a 999 call about a possible stolen car in #Kingshurst and found this when they arrived!

'WAS' A RANGE ROVER

"It WAS a Range Rover Sport four days ago when it was stolen in Newtown and stripped for parts."

One person has been arrested for theft of motor vehicle, they added.

Social media users responded speculating about how the car may have been nicked.

One wrote: "Keyless entry again no doubt?

"Anyone who buys a car with keyless entry may as well not bother locking it at all.

"I don't know why insurance companies haven't priced them out of the market considering the risk."
