Step inside the ‘world’s most haunted hotel’ linked to mysterious deaths, serial killers and suicides

A HOLLYWOOD hotel frequented by serial killers and murder victims has been dubbed one of the most haunted buildings in America after a string of mysterious deaths.

Hotel Cecil in Los Angeles has been linked to mass murderers, suicides, and a slew of supernatural occurrences.

The 1920s hotel once housed serial killers Richard Ramirez – nicknamed the Night Stalker – and Jack Unterweger, who murdered nine prostitutes in Europe and the US.

And in 2013 the body of Canadian student Elisa Lam, 21, was found floating in a water tank.

Employees found her corpse after guests complained that the water had an unusual taste.

True crime author Nikki DuBose visited the hotel – and found it so scary she refused to stay there overnight.

CORPSE FOUND FLOATING IN WATER TANK

She told the Daily Star: "When I was exploring the top floor I went to the very end of the hallway and took a photo of one of the windows.

"As I did that, one of the lights went out and I caught a photo of a dark figure in one of the windows that was not there when I took the photo.

"I remember showing that to my friend (the photo was on my old phone) and it completely freaked him out).

"On top of that, I have always had paranormal experiences (I've seen, heard, and felt spirits), and there I could just feel spirits and the feeling I had was not a positive one…

"I don't think I could stay there overnight and that says a lot considering one of my favourite things to do is stay in haunted hotels.

"The Cecil has a longstanding history of death and crazy activity and I don't think that will go away any time soon!"
