Special moment between Eugenie and Queen at wedding that you may have missed

Many brides fear tripping over their wedding dress on their big day.

But Princess Eugenie didn’t let her stunning Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos gown stop her from curtsying to the Queen at Windsor Castle yesterday.

The princess, 28, was seen performing an impressively low curtsy to her grandmother inside St George’s Chapel after exchanging vows with Jack Brooksbank.

Despite her floor-length dress, long train, and towering Charlotte Olympia peep-toe heels, she dramatically bent her knees as she performed the respectful gesture.

She held her 32-year-old groom’s hand as she did so – perhaps for support.

Jack, meanwhile, was seen bowing his head in the 15th Century chapel, which was packed with a star-studded congregation including royals, aristocrats and VIPs.

The couple, who had been dating for eight years, wed at the same spectacular Berkshire venue chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their May nuptials.

At the second royal wedding of the year, Eugenie, the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and drinks executive Jack were joined by 800 guests.

The bride wore the beautiful Pilotto and De Vos dress that showed off her scoliosis scar, as well as the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara loaned to her by her grandmother.

The Queen watched the ceremony in the historic castle, along with the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Harry and Meghan, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Little Prince George and Princess Charlotte were both part of the young bridal party, with more than 40 members of the royal family in attendance at the occasion.

After tying the knot, Eugenie and Jack sealed their union with two shy kisses on the chapel’s West Steps before attending an afternoon reception in the castle.

The Duke of York was said to have given a traditional father-of-the-bride speech, which reportedly included a joke about Jack once mistaking himself for the family dog.

Later, Jack drove Eugenie – who is ninth in line to the throne – away from the castle in style, wowing his new bride with a silver DB10 Aston Martin sports car.

An evening do was later held at the York family home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

Today, the festivities are expected to continue – with a "more relaxed" all-day party.

The event will take place in the castle grounds, with 200 guests, a fairground and food stalls.
