Serial killer Peter Tobin rushed to hospital after collapsing from 'stroke' in prison

SERIAL killer Peter Tobin has been rushed to hospital after collapsing from a suspected stroke behind bars.

The evil fiend, 75, was taken from Saughton prison in Edinburgh last night after the alarm was raised.

The monster is currently serving three life sentences for killing three young girls between 1991 and 2006.

Insiders told how prison staff rushed to help the stricken beast before mercy crews arrived.

A jail source said: "Tobin is meant to be in a bad way.

"The guards immediately rushed to help him and they were all shouting "code blue, code blue".

"He was rushed to hospital and the whole wing was locked down for a while after.
"All the guys in here hate him — he's evil.

"We all hope he really has had a stroke.

"The sooner he is gone for good, the better."

It is understood he became unwell at around 7.30pm on Thursday.

Tobin — who is also understood to be suffering from cancer — has been rushed to hospital on a number of occasions in recent years.

Sources claimed he is well known for feigning illness.

He was rushed to hospital in February 2016 after being found slumped in his prison cell at HMP Saughton.

Four years earlier, he was taken to hospital from jail with stroke symptoms — but doctors found no evidence of a problem.

Tobin was caged in 2008 for the murder of 15-year-old Vicky Hamilton, who disappeared from a bus stop in Bathgate, West Lothian, in 1991.

He is also serving a life term for the killing of Dinah McNicol, 18, of Tillingham, Essex.

In 2007, the girls' bodies were found in the garden of a house in Margate, Kent, that Tobin moved to from Bathgate.

He also raped and killed Polish student Angelika Kluk, 23, whose mutilated body was found under floorboards of a church in Anderston, Glasgow.

But cops believe he may be behind numerous other young women's unsolved killings.

The Prison Service said it does not comment on individuals.
