NYPD union head Ed Mullins visits White House after declaring ‘war’ on de Blasio

The president of the NYPD’s Sergeants Benevolent Association visited the White House on Wednesday — just days after saying members of the NYPD are declaring “war” on Mayor de Blasio.

SBA head Ed Mullins tweeted a photo of himself standing outside the White House after a meeting, saying that President Trump was “monitoring” recent attacks on cops.

“Great meeting at the White House today,” the tweet from the SBA account said.

“The Trump administration is very aware of the plight of police officers in NYC and is closely monitoring the situation. @realDonaldTrump has our backs!”

Mullins did not say who he met with at the White House. The SBA and the White House did not immediately return request for comment.

Mullins recently made headlines by attacking Mayor de Blasio in the aftermath of two attempted assassination attempts by a cop-hating maniac in the Bronx.

“Mayor DeBlasio, the members of the NYPD are declaring war on you!” the SBA tweeted on Sunday. “We do not respect you, DO NOT visit us in hospitals.”

“You sold the NYPD to the vile creatures, the 1% who hate cops but vote for you,” the union continued. “NYPD cops have been assassinated because of you. This isn’t over, Game on!”

A day later, NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea condemned the tweet.

“One hundred percent that’s inappropriate,” said the top cop, addressing reporters as one of the wounded cops left Lincoln Hospital in The Bronx.

“This is a time that we need to come together first and foremost.”
