Police are searching for a mugger who stole $200 from a woman in a brazen West Village robbery that was caught on camera, authorities said.
Video shows the suspect approach the 26-year-old woman outside her building near Minetta and Bleecker streets at about 10:30 p.m. Sept. 26, authorities said.
He demands her cash and flashes a pair of pliers, cops said.
The woman refuses and tries to fight him off, the video shows, but the thief escapes with her wallet and the $200 inside, police said.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20s and is about 5 feet 9. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and heading west on Minetta Street, authorities said.
