A hero police officer saved the life of a domestic violence victim outside a Las Vegas apartment complex where the woman was viciously stabbed by her boyfriend.
The Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about a stabbing from a female neighbor who witnessed the horrific incident at The Virginia Apartments located on 5350 East Tropicana Avenue last Wednesday night.
Frantic 911 audio obtained by DailyMail.com hears the neighbor as she explained how the attack by 30-year-old William Fuller went down.
The neighbor told the dispatcher: ‘He’s cutting her! He’s cutting her! He’s stabbing her! You need to get here.’

She said the attack began inside the apartment before the victim managed to make her way outside into the parking lot, where the stabbing ensued.
‘Oh my God… there’s babies in the house. He’s cutting her up… you need to send somebody out here now,’ the neighbor said in the audio clip.

Fuller stood over his unidentified girlfriend’s body, sporting a white T-shirt splattered in her blood.

The man, still holding the eight-inch butcher knife in hand, stood up and walked toward Cino before he charged after her
Cino ordered Fuller: ‘Get off of her! Get off! Get off!’
The officer then told the man a to drop the knife – which he did not comply to.

Fuller, still holding the eight-inch butcher knife in hand, stood up and walked slowly toward Cino before he charged after her.
That’s when the officer fired two gunshots at him using a glock 17 9mm handgun.
Fuller was transported to the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was also transported to the local hospital, where she survived. She is said to be in good condition.
Local police believe the couple had been in the midst of a separation at the time of the attack.
Metro Assistant Sheriff Brett Zimmerman spoke in a Monday press conference, where he applauded the officer’s actions.

‘I believe Sgt. Cino acted bravely and decisively,’ Zimmerman said.
‘Her actions prevented a woman from being killed in a domestic violence incident. This event is tragic and troubling.’
Zimmerman said the attack played out in front of four young children, believed to be the couple’s, inside the apartment.
‘Luckily, they were unharmed… I wanted to remind our community that there are resources available to get out of domestic violence situations.
‘The Family Justice located at 861 North Mojave Road houses multiple services to get you out of bad circumstances.’
The assistant sheriff further implored the public to get involved and report other domestic violence incidents – regardless of how big or small. He added: ‘Do not stay silent.’
