Brit celebrating birthday in Ibiza dies after horror plunge onto rocks at beach

A Brit celebrating his birthday in Ibiza has died plunging ’24ft’ onto rocks at a popular beach.

The 24-year-old, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene according to local police.

It is understood he was celebrating his birthday with friends at Cala Gració near Sant Antoni before the tragedy unfolded.

It is not known if he stumbled and fell or whether he was trying to dive into the sea.

Police said he plummeted from a height of between six and eight metres at around 4.30pm this afternoon.

The emergency services, including the police and Civil Guard, were called and found the man in cardio respiratory arrest.

Psychologists were brought in to help those affected by the tragedy.

Local newspapers say the man plunged into the water and was pulled out by his friends.
