Brit, 20, mugged by gang of girls on his first ever lads’ holiday in Benidorm

A British tourist broke down crying after a gang of girls stole £400 from him on day one of his first ever lads' holiday in Benidorm.

Alex Ayland's mum said her boy was distraught after two girls 'touched him up' and made off with all of his holiday money.

The 20-year-old, from Lydney, Gloucestershire, flew to the Spanish resort with his mates last week, however his getaway soon turned into a nightmare when he was targeted by the gang.

His mum, Mand, said he rang her in tears after the mugging, telling her he wanted to get on the first flight home.

She revealed her son's ordeal in a post on a Benidorm Facebook group, according to The Sun .

The Mirror previously reported on ruthless muggers drugging British tourists and stealing their belongings in the city.

One holidaymaker awoke on a beach to find that someone had stolen his wallet, trainers and phone.

Expats claim the thieves pretend to be fellow tourists and cosy up to holidaymakers in bars before spiking their drinks.

Brits have also been warned to be careful of pickpockets who roam the area posing as prostitutes in order to steal items.

Spanish police are now clamping down on the criminality, which also involves men dressed as women targeting tourists.
