Who Was Luke Perry Engaged To At the Time of His Death?

Sad news broke on March 4, 2019, that Riverdale star Luke Perry passed away several days after suffering a stroke. He was 52.

It wasn’t until the actor’s passing that the world learned he was engaged via a statement from his rep about his death which read, “[Perry] was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning.”

Since that statement, several details about her have been revealed. Here’s more on Perry’s passing, the women he was going to marry, and the tributes that have been pouring in from his Riverdale and Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars.

Perry was engaged to Wendy Madison Bauer

Perry’s fiancée, who he is pictured with above, is a 44-year-old
licensed marriage and family therapist with a private practice in
Beverly Hills.

“I provide psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and couples in a private practice setting,” her LinkedIn page states. “I specialize in working with individuals suffering from anxiety. In addition, I have experience working with a number of issues including: depression and suicidality, self-injury, panic attacks, agoraphobia, OCD, low self-esteem, occupational problems, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, and issues related to transitions.”

Bauer also worked in the entertainment business for years and had
small roles in a few TV shows including House and The Mentalist

Because he was so private about his personal life, Perry never discussed his relationship with Bauer but the pair was seen holing hands on the red carpet at the 28th annual GLAAD Media Awards in 2017.

The actor was married once before and has two children

The late star was married once before to Teen Wolf Too actress Rachel “Minnie” Sharp from 1993 to 2003 and they have two children together.

Their first child, a son named Jack, was born on June 15, 1997. He is a wrestler known by the ring name “Jungle Boy” Nate Coy.

Perry and Sharp’s daughter, named Sophie, was born on June 7, 2000.
