This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were faced with a technical issue at the start of Tuesday's show.

The dynamic duo chatted to chef Nisha Katona via a video link but things didn't quite go to plan for the presenters.

Speaking live from her home, Nisha explained what she was going to be making on the ITV daytime show.

"The spice you're going to be introduced to Asafoetida but it's also called the devil's dung, so have a little smell of it and as we're cooking you'll get an idea of it. It's an incredible spice," she explained.

A gobsmacked Phillip asked: "I'm so sorry, what did you say it was called? the devil's dung?

Nisha replied: "Yes, I said it was called the devil's dung. It's got the word feta in Asafoetida so it stinks but its an incredible spice.

"It's made from a tree so its completely wholesome."

As Nisha tried to explain more about the devil's dung, an interference could be heard in the ITV studio.

"We're loosing someone's mic here," Phillip quickly pointed out.

Holly, 40, asked: "Is it you? Is it me?"

Phillip, 59, asked the production team: "Is it me? Who is it?"

Presenter Holly began singing to work out if it was her microphone causing the issue.

"La la la la la. How do I sound?," she asked.

Phillip added: "Testing one, two three. We're all good?"

Nisha then wondered if it was her microphone make the awful sound and causing the problem.

"Is it me? Somethings wrong," she asked.

Phillip joked: "You've got the Devil's dung of a microphone on.

Holly reassured Nisha before adding: "Go and change it and we'll speak to you later."
