The Chase is one of the most loved show on television, with millions of people tuning in everyday.

Over the past 12 years, fans have come to love The Chasers, with many having a favourite quizzer.

Many of the stars have become household names over the years, including cheeky presenter Bradley Walsh, and some of the stars have found fame off the show, with Jenny Ryan appearing on the celebrity version of X Factor in 2019.

ITV aired the first-ever episode of This Chase on June 29 2009 and has there have been 14 series of the hit quiz programme.

The six chasers are Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis.

Labbett and Wallace have both been chasers since series 1, while Hegerty joined in series 2, Sinha in series 4, Ryan in series 9 and Ennis in series 13.

Daily Star has taken a sneak peek at how different the stars, excluding Ennis, look compared to their early days on the show.

Mark Labbett – The Beast

Mark is one the original Chasers, but before his fame he was a maths teacher.

His alter ego name is The Beast because his surname is French for The Beast, and also fits in with his 6ft 9 frame.

During his ten years on the show Mark has beaten many teams in the UK and has also appeared on the USA and Australian versions of the show as a Chaser.

He has reportedly lost a staggering 10 stone after dropping from 29 stone to 19 stone.

After years of ordering customised clothes to cater for his weight and height The Beast can finally pop into his local Marks and Spencer and buy what he fancies off the peg.

The father of one achieved his tremendous goal through hard work and dedication with walking, cutting out sugar and two meals a day his secret formula.

He has documented his weight loss journey on social media by sharing snaps with his followers online.

Mark has Type 2 diabetes and was bullied at school for his imposing frame, the "Incredible Hulk" and "Honey Monster" were just two of the cruel names that became part of school life.

Shaun Wallace – The Dark Destroyer

Shaun is also another original Chaser joining the show for series one.

Before he joined the ITV game show he was an avid quizzer and campaigned to be an MP in London as an independent candidate.

He appeared on shows like Mastermind and The Weakest link, before joining The Chase.

Shaun has appeared on the Australian version of the show in 2018 and works as a part-time lecturer.

The Chase viewers were driven wild by Shaun's "hench" biceps recently as his co-star Paul Sinha shared a behind the scenes snap of a zoom meeting.

He's usually seen wearing his trademark black suit on the ITV show, but the backstage snap saw the quizzing extraordinaire wearing a tie-dye T-shirt.

The hunky barrister's attire caught the attention of The Chase fans as he showcased his buff physique in the white and blue top.

Paul, known on the show as The Sinnerman, posted the snap of the online video on Twitter, giving fans a glimpse of what happens away from the ITV studios.

Paul Sinha – The Sinnerman

Paul joined the show in 2011 after previously working as a doctor.

After leaving the medical profession, the keen quizzer appeared on shows such as Mastermind and The Weakest Link.

Paul, who's full name is Supriya Kumar Sinha, has also successfully forged a career as a stand-up comedian , something that continues to this day.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 and has since bravely opened up about his struggles with the disease.

The quizmaster explained in a blog post that he was unexpectedly diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2018.

He went on to take part in ITV's documentary Diabetes: The Fast Fix where he took part in experimental medical trial living on a diet of just 800 calories per day for four weeks.

The aim of the show was to see whether it was possible for Paul to "fast himself better".

In the natural photograph, she can be seen raising a glass of bubbly to her beloved football team Bolton Wanderers to celebrate their promotion to League One.

She penned: "It's been a long season… but finally WE ARE GOING UP! #BWFC."
