'The Bachelor': Bri Springs Reveals Her Feelings on Katie and Michelle Getting Their Own Season of 'The Bachelorette'

Bri Springs is a fan favorite from season 25 of The Bachelor. As one of the final three contestants, she competed against Rachael Kirkconnell and Michelle Young for the love of Matt James.

This season was particularly historic because it was the first time there has ever been a Black bachelor. Even though season 25 was full of romantic moments and drama, most of the show’s positive points were overshadowed by controversy surrounding Kirkconnell and racially insensitive images that surfaced online.

Many fans were surprised Springs wasn’t chosen by James or selected to be on a future season of The Bachelorette. Instead, Young and Katie Thurston were picked to find true love. In response, Springs recently revealed that she feels both women are perfect for the show, and wishes them success.

Bri Springs feels like Katie Thurston was made for her own season of ‘The Bachelorette’

Springs shared her thoughts on Thurston being selected as The Bachelorette during a recent interview with Extra. According to Springs, she’s been hearing that viewers were surprised she wasn’t chosen instead of Thurston.

“That’s what I’ve read and seen, but you know what, I will say Katie is a wonderful girl,” Springs said. “I think she was meant for this type of stuff.”

Springs then said that she feels Thurston was made to host her own season of The Bachelor.

“She will thrive in this environment, stepping into this role. And in a lot of ways, she was meant for it in ways that I’m not. So I’m happy for her …”

She’s excited to see Michelle Young get another chance at love

In regard to Young, Springs stated that she’s even more excited for her because she believes Young deserves another chance to connect with someone.

“I’m even more excited for my girl Michelle because I think if there’s anyone that’s deserving of another chance, a true shot at finding love, I think it’s Michelle,” Springs said. “I think everyone can agree that she is sincere and earnest, and heartwarming, and I’m excited to watch her.”

She thinks Michelle Young needs to keep her guard up

With all of the conversations about race following the show’s conclusion, there’s been a lot of speculation about what Young’s experience will be like as The Bachelorette. Because of this, Springs says Young needs to be vigilant.

“I think Michelle needs to go in with her guard up a little bit, with her guard up knowing what she knows now,” Springs said. “And Michelle is an extremely intelligent woman, and I know that she will.

However, she has complete confidence in Young’s ability to find success.”

“Because I think it’s one thing to go in naively, but it’s another thing to go in knowing everything that you know now,” Springs said. “And I trust that Michelle will put her best foot forward and stay true to herself through all of this. And I think she’s gonna do great, like I don’t have any doubt in my mind that she will ever—that she’ll struggle too much.”
