Supergirl and Batwoman unite in first look at Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds

The Arrowverse crossovers are always good fun, but this one has us especially interested due to the debut of Ruby Rose as Batwoman, one of DC’s highest profile LGBTQ+ characters.

We’ve already had a first look at the actress in costume, and now we get to see it again – and this time Batwoman is seen right alongside Supergirl as actress Melissa Benoist shares a new photo of the superhero duo on Instagram.

“Indicative of my excitement that she’s here and kicking ass @rubyrose👯‍♀️,” Melissa captioned the post.

Rose’s appearance as Batwoman here will serve as a backdoor pilot to the character getting her own potential solo series.

The upcoming crossover, titled ‘Elseworlds’, is going to mix things up in some pretty interesting ways, with actors Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell exchanging their usual roles of The Flash and Green Arrow, respectively.

Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman is also back (donning the famous black suit that didn’t make it into the movies), while John Wesley Shipp is reprising his role of The Flash from the short-lived 1990s TV series version.

Beyond that, we are also getting the Arrowverse debut of Lois Lane, played here by Elizabeth Tulloch.

The crossover starts with The Flash on Sunday, December 9 at 8pm ET, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10 at 8pm ET and Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11 at 8pm ET, all on The CW in the US. Sky One airs all three series in the UK.
