Stranger Things season 3 spoilers: Eleven star hints series end is SOONER than you think

Stranger Things took Netflix viewers by storm when its first season was released back in 2016.

Its popularity has grown exponentially throughout its second season, and season three is sure to be the show’s biggest one yet.

Viewers are just a few short weeks away from returning to Hawkins, Indiana to reunite with Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown), Jim Hopper (David Harbour), and Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard).

However, as season three’s plot is currently a mystery, no one knows what is going to happen in the upcoming eight episodes of show – but Eleven actor Millie seems to know more than viewers may expect.

Season three has not been confirmed to be the final outing for the supernatural show, however Millie has revealed she knows how the entire series is going to end.

The young star recently spoke to Digital Spy about the show, in which she confessed: “I know exactly what happens. Very scared…”

Eleven has had a rough ride on the show through both seasons one and two, wherein she has had multiple brushes with death.

Season one saw Eleven struggling to come to terms with her powers whilst attempting to defend herself from the Demogorgon, as well as the employees of the Hawkins National Laboratory.

Season two was just as brutal for Eleven, as she ventured out on her own to learn about her powers, and where she came from.

But when she eventually returned to Hawkins she was forced to defend herself and her friends from the Mind Flayer who was attempting to come out of the portal to the Upside Down.

As the stakes have certainly been raised throughout the show so far, could Millie be teasing a brutal end for her character in the upcoming third season?

Alternatively, could the rumoured upcoming fourth season showcase the end of Eleven’s story?

Jim Hopper actor David Harbour recently spoke out about the fears his character has for Eleven in the upcoming third season.

Eleven has come a long way in the past two seasons, as she is now the adopted daughter of Hopper, giving her a greater place in life alongside her friends.

But this is what Hopper is worried about, as he revealed at MCM Comic Con last weekend.

He explained: “Millie [Eleven] is growing up and I think that’s the terrifying thing for Hopper.

“He doesn’t like the idea of his baby daughter hanging out with boys, so the season starts with him a little bit uncomfortable.”

David later went on to speak about the season three finale, adding: “You get to see a lot of that throughout the season and it’s very unexpected what happens in the end, and it’s very, very moving.

“I think episode eight is the most moving thing we’ve ever shot.”

Stranger Things season three arrives July 4 on Netflix.
