Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) and Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) have been enjoying one another’s company in Coronation Street, but will their friendship remain just that?
Earlier this week, Simon confided in Shona about how he was dreading giving a reading at Oliver’s funeral, but Shona assured him he’d be fine, instructing him to speak from the heart.
Simon was taken aback by her advice, and it soon became apparent that he was enjoying her company.
Therefore, he offered to make a playlist for her.
The two characters spend more time together in the coming episodes, in the wake of the huge 60th anniversary week.
When Shona realises that sinister Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) has dropped his keys, she wastes little time in pocketing them.
Later, she persuades Simon to join her for drinks.
He seemingly agrees to do so, but — as they mix cocktails — Shona comes to the realisation that she has lost the keys, and therefore they are locked in!
She later calls David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) for assistance.
What happens next remains to be seen, but could something happen between Simon and Shona?
Or are they simply friends?
