A24 is pulling back the curtain on its mysterious new horror movie “Slice,” starring Chance the Rapper. The movie is directed by the musician’s longtime collaborator Austin Vesely, who has been behind the camera for Chance’s music videos “22 Offs,” “Brain Cells,” “Juice,” “Sunday Candy,” and “Angels.”
“Slice” takes place in a small town where a handful of pizza delivery boys have been murdered on the job. Two delivery boys who have survived team up on a mission to catch the murderer behind the mysterious crime spree. Chance stars opposite Will Brill, Zazie Beets, Joe Keery, Y’lan Noel, and Paul Scheer.
Vesely kicked off the Chicago-set production on “Slice’ in secret in 2016. The movie has had a long road to release, with the project first announced in October 2016 and an animated teaser that dropped a year later on Halloween 2017.
