SAS Who Dares Wins star Shannon reveals heartbreaking tearful goodbye that was NEVER shown on TV | The Sun

CELEBRITY SAS: Who Dares Wins star Shannon Courtenay has revealed she had a heartbreaking goodbye with Pete Wicks that was never shown on TV.

The pair formed a strong friendship during their time on the Channel 4 show and made a pact to look out for one another.

But Pete's experience was cut brutally short when he was knocked unconscious after leaping from a helicopter in the sea during a challenge.

Despite coming round and being able to swim to shore, Pete sustained broken ribs meaning he couldn't continue.

Before setting off into the Jordanian desert, Pete apologised to Shannon for withdrawing.

She told OK!: "He was like: 'Shannon, I'm so sorry to have to leave.' And I was like: 'No, you've got to go to hospital. You've got to get yourself checked out.' And obviously turns out that he did break his ribs.

It was a day to forget for Shannon after her challenge partner Amber Gill became the first star to be eliminated.

The directing staff took her armband and sent her home after noticing her struggling during the physical challenge.

Speaking to the Sun afterwards, Amber said: "Although I felt relieved, I was kind of like “Oh for God’s sake, the stereotype is still going to be strong, like you didn’t push yourself enough and you’re just from Love Island.”
